History & A Build: Operation Vengeance and the 1/48 Tamiya P-38 Lightning

Operation Vengeance is one of those stories that continues to fascinate me. I put together a short video about it and the Miss Virginia Lightning. I mentioned the history of this fighter in the significance of Miss Virginia post. I also had a specific build post about the Tamiya kit as well.

  1. I feel the same way about the P-38 as you do about the F4U. I built that kit as “White 33” because of its story. Magnificently engineered kit (and I just heard that Tamyia is about to release the P-38L). Your video gives me confidence to try my hand at those obvious tape marks. Nice job.
