A Return to the Mojo Podcast

Summer 2020 – You might remember it was an odd world back then. There was a lot of “me” time. There was not a lot of opportunity to get out and meet new people.

But that was not entirely true.

Oh sure, there were many disappointing things that came out of those dark days, but there were some good things too. I certainly got to spend a lot more time with my little one, I tried and fell in love with solo kayaking, and through the power of online video chat, I met a whole pile of people in this hobby that I otherwise would not have met.

Including Mike and Dave from the Plastic Model Mojo. My first ever podcast guest experience was in the summer of 2020 with these two gents from Kentucky. And at some point after that podcast was uploaded to the masses, I started to exchange messages with Mike and Dave. Messages have turned into the occasional build night and we’ve made it a point to get to HeritageCon two years in a row (and counting)!

It is amazing how the Summer of 2020 has turned into the Fall of 2024 – and a heck of a lot has happened in those years. I’ve created a YouTube video channel while the Plastic Model Mojo has gone well past 100 episodes and an ever-expanding following.

And they invited me back on! If you are interested, you can give it a listen by clicking here.

Last Thing

Though we might be interested in building different things, most of us plastic snippers reside somewhere on the “good guy” spectrum. Of course, there are outliers but for the most part, I have gotten along with everyone I have met in this hobby. And I “met” a surprising amount of friends during those strange times. Friends I speak with and keep to this day.
